Roche Symposium BookletThis is a booklet I designed for the pharmaceutical company, Roche. They conducted a symposium at an annual convention in Baltimore in 2006. The symposium they sponsored involved genetics so I wanted the cover to have the feeling of science and progress. In addition to the booklet, coordinating large postcard, small postcard and envelope designs were created.

Nispel Artistry Business CardThis is my business card. I wanted to catch the viewer's eye, so I altered the shape of my card. I wanted to give the client confidence in my services. I think seeing the one's portrait does that. I wanted to assure the client I am professional, so I chose subtle colors to portray that.

LincolnPulse LogoThis was a logo I created for the city of Lincoln, Nebraska. The client was very clear in expressing what they had in mind. I merely created what they envisioned.

Magyar Marketing 2006 CatalogThis was a product catalog I designed for a company selling Hungarian products. I was free to design the catalog however I wished, so I incorporated the well-known Hungarian embroidery with matching colors. I wanted it to be simple, professional, and crisp looking.

NSSA Logo DesignThis was a logo I designed for practice. The name of the organization was very long, making the use of the full words within the logo difficult. Instead I decided one could place the full name next to the logo like so many other companies have done.

Nispel Artistry IconThis was the icon or logo I designed for my business. I wanted to include a pencil because I am rarely without one and it is one of my best skills. Hidden within my icon/logo is the "n" and "a" for Nispel Artistry. I picked the gold to express quality.

Mom's Diner GraphicThis was a graphic I designed for the cover of a hospital employee manual. The client wanted to communicate that certain babies were not to be given pacifiers, bottles or formula. They ate at "Mom's". This made me think of the 24 hour diner, so I designed the graphic to match what one might see at a diner.

NAA Educational LogoThis is a logo I designed for the Nebraska Arborists Association's educational fund. They wanted the logo to be similar to their existing logo and yet different enough to be distinctive. They also asked it to be black. I took a leaf from their regular logo and placed it in the space of the n, finishing it off with the wording in the a's.

NAA Field Day Event BookletThis booklet was designed for the Nebraska Arborists Association Field Day event. I was free to design it however I wished. Using rustic, outdoor colors and unique perspective, I tried to portray the excitement of attending the event.

NOA Century LogoThis is a logo I designed for the Nebraska Optometric Association's 100 year anniversary. They wanted to compliment the style of their standard logo. I chose to create it in Adobe Illustrator so it would scale well.

CPNP Member FolderThis is a folded I designed for the College Of Psychiatric And Neurologic Pharmacists. They planned on using it to organize member information. Other than requiring the cover to be two-color and including the organization's logo & anniversary information, I was free to design it however I wished. The "neurons" come from a graphic often used on their materials.

This is a website I designed for a restaurant in Ohio. I significantly modified a template using XHTML and CSS & created the graphics to be used. The site includes links to a survey, a menu, & coupons. I also assisted him in getting his domain, site hosting & loaded it online for him.

Nebraska Arborists Association AdvertisementThis is an advertisement I did for the Nebraska Arborists Association. They wanted to encourage people to call an arborist to care for their trees instead of doing it themselves. I thought the double meaning, "Save A Limb!" was a fun way to express this.

This is a website I designed & wrote for the Nebraska Optometric Association. This was created using CSS and HTML which gives a sharp look. However, they choose to use the table-based site I designed instead.

Motherhood LogoThis is a logo I designed for practice. It is not currently being used. I like opportunities to grow as a designer. I wanted to give the feeling of warmth & love so I implied the hands of a mother & a child on her belly - a growing baby inside. I created this in Adobe Illustrator.

Dolphin LogoThis is another logo I designed for practice & is not currently being used. I wanted it to look like the dolphin was jumping out of the water. I included a gradient in the block to give the feeling of depth in the water. I reversed out the word dolphin to add interest in the form of negative space. I created this in Adobe Illustrator.

Lucky Penny LogoThis is a logo I designed for practice & is not currently being used. It was supposed to involve scrapbooking, so I made it look like the letters were cut out of a paper. I added the various "paper styles" for interest. I created this in Adobe Illustrator.
